Zambezi Multi-Commodity Basin

New Green Refinery S.r.l.

The Zambezi Basin Multi-Commodity project is an industrial mining venture focused on natural resources located along the alluvial depositional system of the Zambezi River.
It consists of a heavy mineral sand deposit characterized by a concentration of heavy minerals and a multi-element association including precious metals, minor metals, and rare earth elements.

The exploration phase confirms the presence of a complex mineralized system where precious, strategic, and minor metals, along with rare earth elements, coexist in a geochemically significant association for industrial use. Detected elements include Au, Pt, Ag, Pd, Os, Rh, Fe, Ti, Co, Hf, Ta, Nb, Zr, V, Th, U, Ga, In, Tl, Te, Ge, Se, and REEs.

The industrial pilot plant tests and validates a modular, scalable process for controlled multi-stage extraction, physical separation, gravimetric concentration, and selective recovery of target mineral fractions. The model also integrates progressive on-site purification and refining phases, aiming to increase the product's added value before it reaches international markets.

The project serves as a technical-industrial platform that connects the deposit, treatment processes, product qualification, local refining, and global markets. In this way, the natural resource is not merely extracted; it becomes a driver for local economic and social development, fostering industrial capacity and local supply chains.

Polymetallic alluvial placer deposit
GEOLOGY

Heavy mineral sands deposit along the Zambezi basin, characterized by high lateral continuity and potential preferential mineralized layers within sandy-gravelly sediments distributed across a multi-layered sequence with an average thickness of approximately 90 meters.

Gold, PGM, and critical minerals
POTENTIAL

Au, Pt, and Pd are the main economic drivers, along with monazite, ilmenite, rutile, magnetite, and zircon.

High-value polymetallic concentrates
VALORIZATION

Integrated recovery of various mineral fractions through gravimetric, magnetic, and electrostatic separation.

Modular development from pilot phase to market
OPERATIONAL APPROACH

Trial mining, pilot plant, recovery validation, and progressive transition to industrial production.
